Delete Your Bolt Answering Account and Data
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This page explains how to permanently delete your Bolt Answering account and all of the data associated with it. Deletion is requested by you from inside the Bolt Answering app, and it removes your account and data on the schedule described below.
Before you delete
Deleting your account is permanent. Please read this first:
Your service keeps running until the end of your current billing period. Your assistant answers calls right up to that date. At that point, the account and all of its data are deleted.
The current billing period is not refunded. You keep access for the time you have already paid for, and there is no partial refund for the days remaining in the period.
This cannot be undone. There is no way to reactivate a deleted account. If you decide to return to Bolt Answering later, you will create a new account, which means a new phone number rather than the one you have today.
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Removing the app leaves your account and data in place. To delete them, you must delete the account itself using the steps below, or contact us to do it for you.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
Your customer records and contact history
Your assistant's notes and call summaries
Your call history and transcripts
Your schedule and upcoming jobs
Your Bolt Answering phone number and its call-forwarding configuration
Your account login and credentials
Your billing and payment information
Your connected calendars
Any files you have uploaded, such as images or audio
Want a copy of your data first?
Once your account is deleted, this information cannot be recovered. If you would like a copy of anything before it is removed, email us at support@boltanswering.com before you start, and we will help you export it.
How to delete your account in the app
Open the Bolt Answering app and sign in.
Go to Settings, then Subscription.
Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
Review the list of what will be deleted, then tap Delete account again to confirm.
When prompted, turn off call forwarding so calls to your number stop going to Bolt Answering. Instructions are in the app under Settings, then Call forwarding.
Your account is then scheduled for deletion, and you keep service until the end of your current billing period.
When your data is removed
Right away: we schedule your account for deletion and stop your subscription from renewing. You are not charged again.
At the end of your billing period: your account is deactivated. Your phone number is released, your assistant is switched off, and your connected calendars are disconnected.
Within 30 days after that: all remaining account data is permanently erased from our systems.
If you cannot open the app
If you no longer have access to the Bolt Answering app, email us at support@boltanswering.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion for you on the same schedule described above.
