Temporarily disable spam blockers on Android

  1. 1. Open the Phone app Phone app
  2. 2. Open the Menu in top left corner, then tap Settings Settings
  3. 3. In the Call Assist section, tap Call Screen Call Screen, turn off Automatic Call Screen. Android Call Screen settings with Automatic Call Screen turned off
  4. 4. Go back to Settings Settings, and scroll down to the General section, tap Blocked Numbers Blocked Numbers, turn off Automatic Call Screen. Android Blocked numbers with block calls from unidentified callers turned off

Special Instructions for Samsung phones:

  1. Open Samsung Phone app
  2. Tap Settings (three dots), tap Block numbers, then
  3. Turn off Block calls from unknown numbers.
  1. 5. Open your third party spam call blockers (i.e., Verizon Call Filter, AT&T ActiveArmor, or T-Mobile Scam Shield) and turn off spam blocking.
  2. 6. After you have completed your test call...
    1. Add the phone number that called you to your Contacts
    2. Turn your blockers back ON. (... because robocalls suck.)
